Jamie Foxx’s fourth studio album is a pretty much a look into what it would be like to be wooed by the actor/singer. The album picks up where “Blame It” left off with his party references and expression of his preference in alcohol, Patron.

He starts out with what sounds like an impromptu cover of “This Will Be” as an interlude, then goes into the “snap rap” title track “Best Night Of My Life” with Wiz Khalifa. Next up is the second release “Living Better Now” with Rick Ross featuring a Biggie Smalls hook in “A Milli” fashion; I must admit the beat on this track is fire. “Winner” featuring T.I. and Justin Timberlake is probably the most recognizable track as it was featured during the 2010 NBA Playoffs. “Freak” is the love it or hate it track on this album as he ventures into techno type of production which is a new sound for him. “Hit It Like This” and the Ron Brows “Pop Champagne” sounding “Let Me Get You On Your Toes” are two up tempo tracks where he boasts on his sexual prowess. “Yep That’s Me” featuring Soulja Boy and Ludacris is an okay track, I truly believe Luda saved this track.

It seemed like Foxx turned in half-hearted efforts on his ballads; the slow tempo tracks are “Fall For Your Type” featuring Drake, “Gorgeous”, “15 Minutes”, “Sleeping Pill”, and “Rejoice”. By far “Fall For Your Type” is the best slow track and the best thing about it is his voice is autotune free on it.

Overall Jamie won’t be able to escape mediocrity with this effort. There is no progression to the next level as an R&B singer but merely a continuation of the party from his second and third albums. It is pretty much the R&B porn that one would expect from him but nowhere near the catchiness of “Unpredictable”.

Beyonce' Buys Hubby Jigga $2 million Bugatti

Bugatti similar to Jay-Z's

Now that's what I'm talking about! Jay-Z already has an impressive fleet of cars, boasting a Maybach 62S, Ferrari F430 Spider and a Pagani Zonda Roadster; and now for his 41st birthday wifey has added the $2 million dollar Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport to his list of high priced toys. It is touted as the world's fastest road car with a top speed of 255 mph and acceleration of 0-60 in 2.5 seconds. He joins rich and famous cats Simon Cowell, Tom Cruise and Tom Brady who already own the car.

B had to order the car a year in advance meaning she had to keep it secret the whole time. That's what's up! I guess that's how it goes down when you're the highest earning couple in show business. Dang, I wonder what he's getting for Christmas?

Just Charlie

1. My Girl Is A Dime
2. You Are
3. I Wanna Be Your Man Featuring Fantasia
4. Never Got Enough
5. Once And Forever
6. Life Of The Party
7. I Can't Let Go
8. Crying For You
9. Where Would I Be
10. Lotto

Former Gap Band front man Charlie Wilson continues to woo the ladies with his distinctive vocal abilities on his 5th solo album, Just Charlie, so if you liked his last two then you’ll definitely like this one. He starts out the album braggin’ on his mate with My Girl is a Dime(Track 1). Then comes the ballad that’s been getting a lot of airplay recently and deservedly so, You Are(Track 2). Next he collaborated with Fantasia on a cover of Zapp & Roger’s I Wanna Be Your Man(Track 3); that one is my favorite track on entire the album. A notable swing out jam on the album is Life Of The Party(Track 6), I like that one as well. I Can’t Let Go(Track 7) is another track you can get your step on to. After that he gives you a couple of good ballads and he ends it with Lotto(Track 10), where he ends like he began the album; talking about how good his girl is.

The biggest problem I had with the album was quantity as it was only 10 tracks. But the quality is still above average. If you wanna get your grown and sexy on, this is a good album to start with.

CD Review: Tank's Now Or Never

Now Or Never

1. Showtime (Interlude)
2. Sex Music
3. Celebration featuring Drake
4. Emergency (Intro)
5. Emergency
6. Scream
7. Keep It 100
8. Foreplay featuring Chris Brown
9. Can I (Intro)
10. Can I
11. Amazing
12. You Mean That Much
13. I Can’t Make You Love Me

R&B Crooner Tank is back with 13 tracks of pretty good material on album number 4, “Now or Never”. The album features production from names such as Rico Love, Song Dynasty, Harvey Mason Jr., The Stereotypes and Jim Jonsin.

Sex Music and Emergency are the first two released singles off the album and both definitely hold their own. The collaboration with Chris Brown, Foreplay, is a nice baby maker but I think Can I is the bonafide panty dropper on this album. Scream is a decent track where he shows off his above average falsetto capabilities and Celebration is a nice change of pace featuring a splash of rap courtesy of Drizzy Drake. The true ballad on the album is You Mean That Much but I Can’t Make You Love Me is not a shabby slow cut either.

Now or Never is a well put together R&B album that I enjoyed but I think this is gonna be for the grown and sexy. As with his other albums, I can’t see a lot of commercial success even though it is a nice piece of work. The album will be in stores December 14.

My Picks:

Sex Music, Emergency, Foreplay, Can I

CD Review: R. Kelly's Love Letter

Love Letter

Over the last 17 years a lot of R&B artists have come and gone, but R. Kelly seems to outlast them all. Love Letter is the 10th solo studio offering from the 3-time Grammy winner. The album has 14 tracks and it is one that I can personally listen to on repeat without skipping. To me it’s a fusion of his 5th and 6th albums, Chocolate Factory and Happy People/You Saved Me, because it seems to have almost an equal number of swing out songs and ballads. Tracks 2-6 are good songs for the steppers, with the title track, Love Letter(Track 2), and Number One Hit(Track 3)being my two favorites of them. On Taxi Cab(Track 7) Kelly tells a story of a “sexscapade” in, you guessed it, a taxi cab. Love Is(Track 10) is a nice collabo with up and comer K. Michelle; the track puts me in the mind of Marvin Gaye and Tammy Terrell. When a Woman Loves(Track 9) is the first single off the album which has peaked at #22 on the R&B charts and is in my opinion one of his better ballads in recent years.

Overall I think it’s a good album worth spending your money on.
